Shelli Bankier has dedicated her life to following her passions and she has combined two of her greatest, photography and the ocean to become one of the leading female photographers in the surfing community. The second woman to have her work published in Australian Surfing Life, Shelli now uses her skills to capture images that describe the essence and grace of the ocean and ultimately its connection to the ebb and flow of life itself.
Shelli grew up sailing the oceans with her family and after settling in Australia learned to surf. A tragic car accident, where she lost her father and was seriously injured drastically changed her life. The story of her long and gruelling journey to recovery is one of strength and determination. We are inspired by Shelli’s courage and positivity in the face of adversity and are honoured to have her as a Six Sense Team Rider.
